WHY THOR 2 IS AN IMPORTANT MOVIE

It is important because the movie contains a lot of the stuff that relates back to our media syllabus. Examples are ;

Cross media convergence -  Thor 2 is being released  with the backing of Marvel. This is an example of cross media convergence. Also at their premier they had x factor contestants, this makes x factors fan interested in Thor and this works vice versa. These are all fundamental points we can talk about in our examination.

Technology - Different technology will be used in the making of Thor such as CGI, 3D, special effects.

The target audience of the movie Thor will mainly be  young males due to the action and the concept that it has the backing of Marvel which normally has teenagers as their audience.

Thor 2 is also meant to the big release that generates a lot of profit, acting as the TENTPOLE
